What is PAforADay?
PAforADay is a simple and affordable solution that provides temporary or long-term Personal Assistants to time-constrained individuals and businesses when they need help.
How does it work?
PAforADay.com is very easy. (1) Simply select the date and time you would like to obtain a Personal Assistant on our reservation page. (2) List the tasks that you would the PA to complete during the time block you have selected. Blocks of time are available in 2, 4, 6 or 8 hour windows. If you are not certain how much time your tasks will take, just shoot us an email and we’ll help you select a time block that is appropriate. (3) Pay for your reserved block of time. And, we’ll do the rest.
Our team will contact you to confirm your reservation details and assign you a Personal Assistant that has the skillset required for the tasks.
How much does PAforADay cost?
It’s our goal to provide an affordable solution to our clients which is why we have two convenient service options:
Clients can obtain a Personal Assistant from PAforADay for $20 an hour with a two hour minimum for everyday tasks like grocery shopping, dog walking, and office administration.
Clients can also contact us to obtain a rate for help with more in-depth projects, such as press material creation, event planning and onsite staffing.
When are PAs normally available booking?
For your convenience, our PAs are available between 8AM and 10PM EST seven days a week (excluding holidays).

Where do your PA’s operate?
Our PAs will work and travel anywhere within the five bouroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island) to help you with your tasks.
What if I didn’t book enough time for my PA to complete everything I need?
During the confirmation process, we try to ensure that you reserve enough time for our dedicated PAs to complete the listed tasks. If during the reservation it is discovered that more time is required your PA will notify you before the end of your session. You can decide then if you would like to extend your session or schedule a follow-up session for another day to finish the tasks.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my reservation?
Cancelations with refunds are not offered but reservations can be rescheduled for up to 48 hours before your scheduled session.
What types of things can I have my PA assist me with?
Our Personal Assistants are here to make your life easier. PAs can assist with small tasks such as picking up groceries, dropping off dry cleaning or waiting for the repairman, as well as larger tasks like office administration and even unique tasks like standing in line to snag a hard to get product, walking your dog or helping you paint your bathroom. As long as the tasks are listed in your reservation (and able to be completed in the reserved time block) we’ll work to match you with a PA to get the job done. Are there any types of tasks PAs can’t assist me with?
PAs cannot (and will not) assist with any tasks that are illegal, illicit or questionable. In addition, PA For A Day currently does not offer babysitting/childcare services. Besides that we are here to help. As long as the tasks are listed in your reservation (and able to be completed in the reserved time block) we’ll work to match you with a PA to get the task done. If there is a task that we absolutely do not have the skillset to complete (and this is rare) we’ll let you know during your confirmation process (and provide you a refund).
Some of the tasks I need help with are in my home, are the PAs able to work there?
PAforADay is licensed by the state of New York to hire domestic help. Like any employment agency PAforADay is an intermediary between our clients and our independent freelancers (PAs) and we seek to match you with a PA that meets your needs. So, as long as you feel comfortable; our PAs can work within your home.
Can I give my PA my credit card to complete my tasks (such as paying for my groceries or dry cleaning)?
Please check the authorization rules of your credit card provider before asking a PA to utilize a credit card. For simplicity purposes, we recommend that PAs be provided with either (1) cash or (2) a check made out directly to the store/organization where the errand will take place in the exact amount of bill to pay for all tasks that require payment (such as grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning). At the completion of the reservation, PAs will provide you receipt(s) and any change. PAs are not required to pay for any purchases for which you have not supplied them with a method of payment.
Privacy is very important to me. Does PAforADay have confidentiality agreements with its PAs?
PAforADay takes the privacy of our clients very seriously and requires that our PAs sign a confidentiality agreement. And, we can provide a copy of the PA’s confidentiality agreement to a hiring client prior to the reservation date for their records upon request. In addition, to ensure that your specific privacy needs are covered we request that clients provide us with their own lawyer approved confidentiality agreements during our reservation confirmation period for review and signing by the PA.
My PA has made my life so much easier. Can I employ them directly for a full-time position?
Yes, YES and YES! We’re always sad to lose a great Personal Assistant, but happy to help them find a permanent position. If you’re interested in hiring one of our awesome PAs long-term, just let us know. We do not charge a hiring fee for full-time placements of PAs you have already hired through our service (yes, you read that correctly). Instead we’ll ask you to complete a short hiring survey and post a review to one of our social pages. Remember, we want to make your life easier. So, charging you a ridiculous amount of money to hire someone you have already worked with would be counterproductive. So, send us an email PA@PAforaDay.com and hire away!
I need an employee that specializes in a particular area. Does PAforADay do candidate searches?
